Officer Matt Lambert: A Missed Opportunity for Justice
Officer Matt Lambert had the chance to stand on the side of justice, supporting victims of domestic violence and false accusations. Instead, he sided with perpetrators, domestic abusers, and criminals from Dorset Police.
The Story Unfolds:
- June 23, 2023: My then-partner, suspecting me of infidelity as noted in the police report Page 27, fabricated a story of domestic violence to have me removed from our home and called Dorset Police. From the first interview, I categorically denied these false accusations. This should have raised the first red flag for Dorset Police officers, as jealousy is a known trigger for false accusations between partners.
- Inconsistent Statements: During two separate interviews, my partner was asked if there had been any previous incidents of domestic violence. Twice, she answered no, as recorded in police reports Page 4. However, after a conversation with OIC Rose Pratt, she completely changed her story, claiming that domestic violence had been ongoing for years. This should have set off major alarm bells, indicating her story might be fabricated. What role did Officer Rose Pratt play in this? From the beginning, I felt that Rose Pratt was hostile, biased, and discriminatory towards me. Did she suggest to my partner that the lack of evidence and her initial accusations were insufficient to have me removed from my home and business? Did she imply that a more drastic story was needed to ruin my life? It’s hard to say, but I hope my numerous complaints will eventually lead to a court case where the background of this story can be uncovered.
- My Interview: During my interview with Rose Pratt, I told her what really happened and explained that I was the victim of physical and psychological domestic violence. In November 2021, my then-partner brutally attacked me, breaking my nose with a punch.
- Admission of Guilt: According to Dorset Police reports Page 27, my ex-partner admitted to attacking me. I also have a witness to that incident, whom Dorset Police have not contacted to this day, despite my repeated requests and providing them with the witness’s contact information. This raised a red flag in my mind, making me realize that this was not about justice but about systematically destroying my life, killing my business, and ruining the lives of my three daughters.
- Case Dismissed: A year after the investigation began, I finally received a document informing me that there was no evidence of my guilt and the case was dismissed.
- Reporting the Crime: I reported the crime three times—personally to Officer Rose Pratt, by phone, and online—requesting that Dorset Police investigate my ex. Each time, I was ignored, and my rights as a crime victim were violated, as confirmed by an apology letter from Dorset Police.
- False Claims: Dorset Police repeatedly refused to initiate proceedings against my ex, falsely insinuating that an investigation against her could not begin while the investigation against me was ongoing. However, during a conversation with Inspector Chris Bradford, he informed me that this was a lie and that both investigations should be conducted simultaneously.
- Investigation Begins: In July 2024, an investigation against my ex finally began. Dorset Police have her confession of guilt. I also presented a series of strong evidence documenting other crimes committed by my ex.
- Cover-Up Attempt: In November, Officer Matt Lambert attempted to cover up the criminal activities of Dorset Police officers and closed the investigation against my ex without any explanation, ignoring several of my questions regarding the investigation. He still has not contacted the eyewitness to many of my ex’s crimes.
- Complaints: I sent numerous complaints about Dorset Police’s actions. In October 2024, I received a final response. TJ Whittle from the Joint Head of Complaints & Misconduct Unit admitted in this letter that out of eight points concerning the criminal activities of Dorset Police, five were valid, and TJ Whittle apologized for them.
I understand Officer Matt Lambert’s motive in trying to cover up my case. He realizes the threat this case poses to Dorset Police if it goes to court, as it would expose the criminal actions of Dorset Police.
Is Chief Constable Amanda Pearson involved in this case? Some time ago, I received an email from her office regarding my case, so she cannot claim ignorance. Did she not know or realize that many of her officers were breaking the law, protecting the perpetrator instead of the victim, and driving the victim to bankruptcy? This would mean she is not fit for her position. Or did she instruct her officers to cover up the entire case? I have filed a complaint about this.
As shown by the Post Office and Horizon system case, victims of wrongful accusations who have had their businesses and lives destroyed can even commit suicide. Dorset Police and its officers, especially Rose Pratt and Matt Lambert, have learned nothing from this history. How low has British policing fallen, ignoring the cries for help from victims of violence?
